The Technological Educational Institute (A.T.E.I.) of Athens is a higher-educational institute supervised by the Minister of Education, Lifelong Learning and Religious Affairs. It is the third largest Institution of Higher Education in Greece, with approximately 35.000 students, a regular faculty of 600 and a temporary faculty of 1700 academics.〔(TEI of Athens Prospectus 2013 ) Retrieved 2014-04-26〕 The Technological Educational Institute of Athens offers undergraduates and postgraduates studies. ==History== The institute was one of the five first KATE's (Centers for Higher Technical Education) founded in Greece in 1974 in order to offer non-university technical programmes.
